Generosity is contrary to the acquisition mindset; in fact it is the cure
1 Timothy 6:5
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.
What is the secret to true contentment?
How could we do a series about Blessing without talking about Matthew 5???
Matthew 5:3-12
“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
I think perhaps as powerful as what He says is where He says it.
Exodus 19:12
Put limits for the people around the mountain and tell them, ‘Be careful that you do not approach the mountain or touch the foot of it. Whoever touches the mountain is to be put to death.
Its significant that this teaching comes from The Mountain because it is deconstructing a mentality.
The end of the old testament ends with a curse
Malachi 4:6
The beginning of the New testament begins with a blessing
Jesus GIVEN to MARY & JOSEPH - didn't have to strive for it
The source of our Stress is often our mindset.
Jesus wants to RENEW YOUR MIND

God wants to adjust your paradigm
Breaking up the concrete at My Parents house
God wants to break up some thinking that has set like concrete, question is will you let Him?
Like a child nothing to prove and everything to learn
Jesus is constantly saying
Let him who has eyes see
2 Kings 6:17
Then Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!" The LORD opened the young man's eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.
Pressure Perverts our Perspective

Some of us had a hard time being genuine in our giving thanks this week because from where you stand it looks like there is nothing worth thanking God for.. WHERE IS MY BLESSING?! GOD OPEN OUR EYES that we might see what you saw in Matthew 5..
Jesus wants you to see Him in 20/20
Check your eye sight hold one hand over and read the Words right in front of you.. tell me what you see
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
