How to Make Outstanding Decisions Part 1

Decisions decisions decisions. Every day of our lives is filled with them. Everything about your life since you were an adult has been YOUR decisions

  • Frank Borham said, "We make our decisions and then our decisions make us."
  • Routine, simple decisions.

Things like what to eat and decisions like stopping at a red light. These are all simple and routine decisions that all adults are capable of making.

  • Complex and life altering decisions.

Things like;

  1. Should I marry this person.
  2. Should I divorce this person
  3. Should I buy that house
  4. Should I change careers
  5. Should I borrow that money
  6. Should I sign off on this deal.
  7. Should I leave my job
  8. Should I start a new career.

  1.     OPEN DOOR
  2.     I FEEL RIGHT IN MY HEART
  3.     OPINIONS OF FRIENDS

Great decision making is both an art and a science. It is both felt and a process.

Over the next 2 weeks I want to look at 8 significant principles that will help you hit on the right decision every single time.

Next week we are going to look also at the top 5 things you must avoid doing if you want to make great decisions.

8GREAT PRINCIPLES TO MAKING THE BEST DECISIONS.

  • THE ENCYCLOPAEDIA PRINCIPLE;

Get as many of the facts as you can before making a decision.

Face the facts. Most people don’t embrace all the facts. People want to ignore the facts.

Romans 4:19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead —since he was about a hundred years old —and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.

  • THE CPR PRINCIPLE.

Process is everything and refining that process is super important.

  • THE BABE RUTH PRINCIPLE;

Timing is everything.

Ecc 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens

  • THE ACE CARD PRINCIPLE

What’s the Ace card. It’s the one that trumps everythings else. It’s the highest scoring card. It’s the one you try to get in a game of blackjack as it gives you the greatest chance of winning.  When you have an ace in blackjack you can make excellent decisions.

God needs to be your ACE. God wants to speak to you.

Prov 3: 5Trust God from the bottom of your heart;  don’t try to figure out everything on your own.  Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all.   Run to God! Run from evil!  Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!  Honor God with everything you own;  give him the first and the best.
